She graduated from the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).

Favorites roles include the Spiderwoman in the Australian premiere of Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Marianne in Shout!, Amber Murray in the New York premiere of The Hatpin and Beth in Merrily We Roll Along. In 2007 Alexis sang for the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and cites the experience as one of the most rewarding and challenging of her life.

Alexis is the creator and star of Der Gelbe Stern, a one-woman show set in Berlin 1933 that tells the story of wildly famous fictional  cabaret star Erika Stern. The show premiered at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in 2011 followed by extremely successful seasons in Melbourne and Sydney and will premiere in New York in 2013.

Alexis is part way through a Masters in International Relations and in her spare time can be found at the library  writing papers on policy recommendations to the UN.

Alexis is now based permanently in New York. After years of birthday parties at Ice Skating Rinks she relishes celebrating her birthday in the summer. Next birthday, she asks that you join her for a picnic in Central Park. As long as you don’t mention the ‘ permanently in New York’ thing to her mother.
